    Default Finally a Near perfect shave

    I Finally got a near perfect shave for the first time after a couple of months. I olny got a small nic but it went away after i rinsed to do my ATG pass. still having troubble with my lip line and chin. but the soon should become athing of the pass. Any advice to help me along?

    Nice going! A couple of months is fairly good time go get a shave you're really happy with. Try little buffing strokes along your lip line. I do across-the-grain on the front of my chin, WTG below my lower lip, and wtg on the bottom of my chin, below the jawline. If I feel really good about the razor I'll go ATG below the chin, but only if I know it's a really good edge.

    Sometimes I'll do my mustache and below my lower lip first, while the blade is freshest from its preshave stropping.

    My most important advice is to stay humble as you get better at this. The first time you act a little too confident you'll get humble again in a big hurry. Keep the styptic close by. We've all been cut, and it's almost always been for the same reason... believing we're free to think about anything but the task at hand.
