Default Beginners -- A GREAT brush at a GREAT PRICE...!

This brush just arrived today. It is a 24mm Silvertip knot in a hand turned York Gum Burl handle hand made in Australia by Bryce C. The pictures don't do this brush justice, it is beautiful. I used SRD Lime Soap and my Dirty Bird 1.5 Scuttle to yield some truly incredible lather. Much thicker, creamier lather than my eShave 22mm Silvertip, shown in the photo next to the Bryce C. The Bryce C. is also much stiffer than my eShave, maybe will soften with time? This brush is about $90 on ebay!!! That is a steal compared to other "name brand" brushes that are not 1/2 are cool as this one....

Sorry, can't seem to get the first picture to rotate 90 degrees....any ideas....

With enough practice you can use that boix of straights and extras to shave people for a fee, next thing you know youll be sat on a beach sunning yourself, with exotic cocktails in your hand dripping with cash.

    Man your so lucky

For simple online editing (including rotation and such), pixlr is pretty good.

That brush is sweet! The wood is very unique. How does the silver tip compare to others in your opinion?

Mastershake, I'm still breaking it in but so far it is incredible. It produces incredible lather and is stiff enough to use with hard soap. Have you considered making brush handles? I've seen your impressive wood scales, pretty amazing stuff.

Funny you should mention that, I have a guy retiring in my office who straight shaves and I was thinking about picking up a silvertip knot from the whipped dog and making the handle out of mahogany and giving it to him as a retirement gift. I just wanted to make sure the silvertip was worth the $$, the guy has a boar's hair at the moment.

I love your brush...the burle wood is beautiful. I know of Bryce too from Australia. He makes superb brushes, as I too own a cocobolo wood brush made by him, that I also got off ebay and love. I don't think you can find a finer brush for the money. I hope you have many happy shave with your brush like I am having with mine.
