Thread: Straight Razor Specialty Shops

I stumbled upon this website about two months ago and found the art of straight razor shaving fascinating. Eager to learn I ordered a razor and strop on line and have been using the straight razor ever since and I couldn't be happier with the decision. I'm 18 and all I can say is that I'll be a straight razor man for the rest of my life. That being said I'm still not a shaving purist (I don't use a brush or soap, I'm using up what's left of a can of Gilette foamy cream). I live in Northern Kentucky and will be going to school in South Carolina in the fall, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any specialty shave shops along the way where I could pick up a brush and soap etc. Nobody in the Northern Kentucky area seems to carry these types of items.

If you are going to USC you will be passing through Charlotte, which has an Art Of Shaving store. They have a nice $50 set which is pre-shave, cream, after-shave and a badger brush. This is a good get your feet wet with wet shaving set.
