    Well guys,

I shaved half of my face on Saturday morning. Sideburns and cheek, both sides. Well - I tried to shave both sides

My right hand side (right handed shaver) was pretty good, no cuts, and fairly close. Probably not as good as my regular razor but better than I thought I would do.

Left side of face much more difficult - mainly because I wear glasses. I will try again tonight with my contact lenses in.

Do most people shave with their dominant hands on both sides of their face, or do you switch hands depending on cheek?

Also, I am using some Osma shaving soap (from The Invisible Edge) and if I'm honest have been a tad disappointed with the amount of lather.
Can any give me a tip on getting better lather from said soap?

    Many thanks

    Rossco

That actually sounds like a good first shave.
Some people shave with only one hand. I've learnt to shave with both hands as I believe it gives you a lot more (twice as many) options later on, when your shaving improves to the point that you are using different passes for different areas of your face, but really it is whatever works for you.

I can't help with the soap I'm afraid, I've never tried that one.

You're doing fine, just take your time and keep at it.

I'm left hand dominant and I use it for both sides of my face. However, there are a lot of others in this forum who can switch hands with ease. I tried to use my right hand, but I just was not comfortable doing so. But it's okay, I get a nice shave on both sides of my face. Go with what you are the most comfortable with.
As for the soap, I'm not familiar with Osma, but I am sure there is someone in the forum who uses it.
