Default Tried a bunch of soaps today....

I ordered A LOT of soaps to try side by side. Not to name names and get into comparisons on scent, so far the winner in terms of shaving comfort is Tabac. This stuff shaves like a dream. I'm going to use it for a few weeks, then go back to some glycerins for comparison. I actually like the smell of Tabac, kind of a soapy smell that's easy to hide with an AS. A close competitor so far is Cella. I like the smell of Cella and will probably shave with it more to get a better comparison as well. I could shave with either of these two and be perfectly happy. I have to say there is a difference for me in terms of shaving comfort with triple milled, tallow type soaps versus glycerins. I do like Mama Bears but the tallow based stuff is a pretty smooth shaver....

Sounds like someone may be giving Obie a run for his money!

Well....I have in my possession about 30 different soaps! No one will ever say I do things 1/2 way! I'm still liking the Tabac. I just wish I could get Mama Bear scent and lather, with the Tabac texture and shave!

I may have to start making my own Tabac/Mama mixtures! I will be calling these BearBacs.....!

If I obtain a particularly good BearBac I might be willing to provide a sample or two for subsequent shaving performance analysis to select SRP members!
