    I'll stick with polishing by hand. I maintain my wood lathe gouges, skews, and scrapers by sharpening and honing by hand. If a person wants to use grinders or buffing wheels; safe results to them! Either way, we'll reach our goals.

    I guess to me it's the difference between taking the interstate or a two lane. Both ways will get you there. If I have somewhere I absolutely have to be at a certain time, I take the interstate. If I just have to get there, the journey is more important to me than the destination.
