    Default Classifieds and toys!

So I'm on my 5th shave and I know I'm going to stick with it and I want another straight but I want to wait until my 16th or so shave, but I was on classifieds and I saw a straight that I really *really want for $45

FS:REDUCED!!!5/8 Herms W/ Custom WOOD SCALES - Straight Razor Place Classifieds

But even with it being so cheap I'm trying to be responsible by not buying it! WHAT DO I DO?

That is an easy question. Buy it.

I'm not saying that just to feed your RAD, there are very good arguments to be made for having a second razor.
That way, when your regular shaver goes dull and needs a honing, you'll have a razor ready to go while you await the first one getting back after honing.

So, yes, if you like it, get it.

Also I keep seeing the word reduced. What does it mean pertaining to straights?....

It simply means the price has been reduced somewhat from that set when first posted in the classifieds.

I think having one around while I weight to get off my but and hone the first one, is a good idea. My fiancee is going to kill me lol. you guys are very persuasive ;D

It now shows sold, I hope you bought it mate!!

Having a second razor to me is an absolute must. I have several and that way, 1. I figure out what kind (grind, width, etc.) razor I prefer and why (which is most important). 2. If I have a 'rotation' no single razor will specifically get dull. 3. If I send one out for honing, I have several more to choose from in it's absence.

Knowing you have a few razors that you can fall back on just helps the mental state.

    Best to ya!!

Oh man did you buy it? I guess I should thank you if you did, I was looking at it to possible buy it lol, my wife would probably kill me if I keep buying more razors. I do like the look of that one.

I broke down, you guys beat me down lol, I am the one who bought it. Now all I have to do is tell my fiancee about it, she is going to be irritated at best. I bought it earlier knowing I had to shave tonight. So I come downstairs all freshly shaven and she was impressed (I've been getting progressively better) and I did my best to convince her I need that second razor and blah blah blah......she was dubious though so I chickened out and didn't tell her yet.....lol. oops. I'M SO EXCITED. LOL
