Thread: What should I buy?

I am looking for a straight razor and accessories for my husband.
I do expect to learn how to use it as well but the main reason is for him. He used to use one and he wants to pick it up again. I am planning on getting everything, separately if need be, for a Christmas gift and I want it all to be a surprise. He knows I am looking but I want him to really love what he gets.
I would just love some help with finding everything, where I should look, if buying a set is a good idea, what type of razor I should get.

All I know about what he used to have is:
bay rum soap

feather blade, straight edge
What I have read about those blades is that they are disposable...would it be better if he didn't have a disposable one?

mole hair brush

I don't know what strop I should buy, I just know that his was a crappy one that got waxy. So I want him to get a good quality one.
