    Default First Real Straight Razor

Larry sent me a Henry Sears and Son Straight razor. It's gorgeous! It says 1865 on the blade and QUEEN 5/8. I'd appreciate any information about this. It shaved great (no cuts!) but I'd like a little history and the quality of these blades!

I beleive I owe the very same razor (purchased from a SRP member). I don't know the history of the razor other than that Henry Sears made razors up until 1897 - at least according to the "Standard Guide to Razors: Indentification and Values." My razor shaves well. Enjoy!
