    Default Bad Razor

All beginners should see this, I have mentioned this brand before but this really is an awarness post cuz no one should have to deal with this. Beauty and Barber, come with a strop carbon steel, Great shave. YEah what a load of crap. I got this crazy honed it like crazy on my 4k/8k norton stone, i got it to the point where is was able to slice a chunk out of my finger, so i thought its ready, got my lather tried the first path, and the blade would not even remove the smallest hair. I though i was honing wrong so i paid 30 dollors to get it professional honed, Still crap. I paid around $60 when i could buy a real razor for like $70. B&B razors are not on the razor black list on SRP, it should but it is not. When you looking at a razor and you can't find it on the good razor or bad razor list use the power of SRP, The members here are so great, and helpful. As a matter a fact i felt like a moron when i lost my money but a SRP member sent me a great razor.

However if you did buy a bad blade use it for honing and strop practice. Oh and the B&B strop is crap as well its a piece of cardborad covered by a cheap leather

I honed one for free and it was an awful mess to hone. The grind was way off, the blade was warped, and I think I spent about three hours straighten the spine and setting the bevel. I got it to shave but it was not very good. Since it belonged to someone else, and he was eager to get it back, I was not able to determine how long the edge lasted.

I noticed the same things, the blade was all off the center of the spine seemed to be wider than the rest. As you can imagine i was very disapointed with this buy. Even though i was able to improve my honing skills with this, there was unnessary hone wear. BUt what is done is done

Some of us possess pretty crappy faces, so a crappy blade might come in handy.
