    Hey guys,

Thanks for all the great responses on here. This forum is really helping me and motivating me to get through the rougher spots of learning the straight shave (pun intended

After taking the first 3 shaves easy and skipping days in between I am now finding it alright to shave daily and am not getting the irritation anymore. Perhaps a better strop job and better technique and of course my face is learning to accept it's new destiny. This more frequent shaving will really allow me to learn more quickly and hopefully by the end of the year I might be ready to try shaving my chin Got the sides and neck down pretty well but still follow up with a mach blade for XTG to smooth it out. I am starting to feel the differences in angle and getting better with the hand technique and angling my face and whatnot to avoid the shaving blind spots I was having trouble with previously.

My first and second shave cuts are just starting to heal. Gives me that tough guy in a knife fight look

    Gentlemen:

I shave daily except when, for some reason, my face is irritated. If I need to take off for a day or two, I will hang my head low and do so.

    Regards,

    Obie

Like many others I shave every day, 7 days a week.
The exceptions are when I'm out camping or otherwise unable to get to decent shaving quarters.

When I started out with straights I shaved every other day or so, to let the skin adapt to this new regimen.

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....
