I just ordered my first straight razor and strop from him last night. Can't wait to use it!

I wish I'd known about Larry before I got started on straights. I've never heard anything but GREAT reviews for him and his services.

Hope the poor guy gets a nice fridge!

I'm actually kind of miffed that I never heard of Larry before I started on SE shaving. Why is this not a stickey in the beginner's forum!

Hey Guys, I can defiantly vouch for Larry being a great guy ! I've gone to Larry's home a few times to get some razors honed, and I watched him work his magic on the stones and learned a ton by him explaining his technique and letting me feel the difference of the blade edge during the progression. I learned more in those hours spent over there than weeks/months of reading and research on the net. Larry also puts one of the best edges on a straight razor that I have found to date. I would/will highly recommend Larry to anyone in the wet shaving community. Thanks for all you've done for me Larry and I'm sure I'll be seeing you again in the near future

BTW +1 on starting this thread Tex !

I was so unsure about buying my first razor until I came across a link to his site on this forum. Speaking with him over the phone really made me feel confident that I was going to get a good shaver and everything I needed for a price I could live with if I decided it wasn't for me. I bought my first two razors from him traded for another and he's honing two more for me as we speak. He's just a fantastic person and a great resource for newcomers and anyone else.

Thanks for reminding me to buy a Silvertip knot from Larry! He's a great guy I'd do business with any day of the week.

Larry's user's guide for Newbies should be required reading before putting blade to face, available here:
