    Default Tuckmar Clink Cutter Clink.

i purchased a new razor today to add to my collection and was just wondering if anyone could tell me a little about this razor.
the tang is stamped on one side with best quality TUCKMAR silver steel Solingen
the other side of the tang is stamped: trade mark world know Solingen Germany 17
the blade had a faded stamp that says Tuckmar Clink Cutter Clink.
it has a double shoulder, and i believe it is a half hollow and has a squared tip.
i pay $30 cdn for this razor. Name: IMG_0223.jpg

    Hey Christoph,

That's a nice looking razor you have there. I purchased a Tuckmar about three weeks ago. I honed it up, and it's easily one of my top 3 shavers.

I'd get that baby on the hones if I were you.....every day that it's not shave ready, your missing out IMO.

For $30 CDN, I think you got a great razor.

Thanks Maxi and I would hone it if I had the equipment and knowledge on how to do so.

At the moment I just collect razors and don't shave with them but in time i most likely will.

    thanks for the help.

Also is it advised that I bring my razors to the get together in Toronto?

Absolutely!! We're going to want to drool over each others blades, and if you want some tips and tricks for shaving, stropping, honing, etc. this is going to be the place to pick them up. Watching someone do something and then trying for yourself is much easier than reading and trying to figure it out on your own!

It's going to be a great time. I'm super pumped.

i'm new to straight shaving, but currently my only shave ready razor is a tuckmar and its a champ. Definitely one that i'll use forever. i've looked around to get an idea of how good a deal i got, and mine was going for around eighty to hundred. Yours looks more decorative and a little nicer than mine (especially the scales) so i'd say you got a good deal there
