how do you take the red insert out of the shavette
have a Dovo shavette and the red insert seems to be almost like it is glued in the razor cant get it out. is there a trick to get the insert out?

Good luck with the Shavette, a good way to embark on straight shaving. Just pull the red insert out with the tab that is at the end of the "blade". It may be a bit stiff at first, but should pull out if you tug on it. Try Shark Chrome blades, my favorite with the Shavette.

Slides right out. Just give it a good tug. Any good d/e blade IMHO seems to work well with a shavette.

Mine pops right out with a good pull. Be careful when inserting it with the blade though. Mine works wonder with Feather blades.
