Without a doubt...the BEST moustache wax is made by a fellow named John Pitts in Mississippi. It is called Firehouse Moustache Wax. I had a handlebar stache for quite some time and this stuff was excellent in not just keeping the whiskers together, but it held the curl shape all day! I even wore it through a marathon....it looked as good after 26.2 miles, as when I started. I use the "Wacky Tacky" product.

Not a wax, but an idea...

I've got coarse wavy hair, and wiry whiskers. I wear a Van Dyke just about always, but every once in a while have issues with hairs looking scraggly. To keep my hair from looking like crap every day, I use a conditioner. When I get wild whiskers I just apply the conditioner to my chin/lip just like I do to the rest of my hair. Within a day or two they soften up and will comb together with the others.

    FWIW & YMMV

+100 Oregon Wild Hair is the gold standard of stash waxes. I've tried Clubman as well as various pomades and for lightweight jobs they would work but for serious business my choice would be Oregon Wild Hair.

Michael let me look at home. I may have another travel tube of the OWH. If so I'll send it to you no charge.

I've been raising a stash for a few months now again.Got it goin good, but up till now have just been using the Col. Conk. How are the Firehouse and the Oregon wild hair comparably speaking.Does any one know per chance. I need a good wax that smells good and conditions but hold nice ? Or maybe I'm just being redundant and not reading the reviews here well enough ? P.S. Has any one used Cedar Hill farm wax ?

Any recommendations on application? I just got some Firehouse Mustache wax the other day and can't quite figure out how to get it to work.

I have heard that this stuff is tops from a few people. I will give it a try soon. A friend of mine gave me a tin of this: Cowboy Stache Wax So far, my handlebar likes it. It holds everything in place and doesn't crust up, it's clear too.

rub a small bit between your thumb and forefinger the get it warmed up and then just start pulling your moustache in the direction you want it to go.. i know a few people who really cake it on.. i don't think that is necessary..
