Thread: a few more questions...

I have been reading as much as I can on this forum and have learned quite a bit, but some questions are still lingering in my head. The blade terminology....

1. What is the difference in 1/4 hollow, 1/2 hollow and a "full hollow" blade? I have seen talk about this on the forum but I'm still not sure what the difference is...to me most SR look to be based on a hollow ground design.....

2. What does the term "Wedge" mean? I have heard people use this term to describe a razor type......I am unclear on this one.

3. A singing blade? I gather this is ground really thin but any more info on it would be helpful just to appease my own curiosity.

4. I was practicing holding my SR today and realized that it is really awkward if you're not use to it, not sure if I am holding it correctly or if there is even a "correct" way to hold a razor.

Ill just add that if you just grab the razor and hold it (with thumb and forfinger on the tang)
That may well be the correct grip for you
If that dont feel good look ar what closest resemble what you already do and try if you notice any difference
