Default This great fountain of knowledge!

A BIG THANK YOU TO SRP.

Just under three weeks into straight razor shaving and already, thanks to the vast wealth of information available here, I am making significant progress. Yes, I've had a few nicks and there are a few troublespots: under the nose, the chin and jaw, but day by day these seem to become less tricky. I can appreciate that my journey along this learning curve has only just begun, but the daily reward of a closer, more comfortable shave than yesterday compels me to read some more and refine my stropping, skin preparation and shaving technique. Without SRP, I guess that I would of probably given up by now, but I do believe that I'm here for good. Thanks again for making this possible. Ryan

Hurrah! It's great to hear that things are going well for you!

I remember when I first started, and how even a bad shave was better than a Fusion shave just because it was so much more FUN! Almost two years in, and I can get a smooth shave in under 7 minutes...

Keep shaving, and most of all HAVE FUN!

6 months in, I feel the same. Without the experienced members sharing their knowledge, I probably would have quit out of frustration long ago. Instead I'm getting amazing shaves and I love it.

Wow, 7 minutes sounds quite amazing. I'm currently closer to 45 minutes. But hey, I'm enjoying it so why hurry? I'm sure that with a little more practise/experience then the shave time will come down as well as the shave improve. Ryan

It only gets better as you gain more and more experience. Looking back at my beginnings of straight shaving, I was a comedy act and I was so nervous about straight shaving.

It became the best decision I made in that year.

Welcome to straight shaving and SRP!
