Default Which razor or Blade should I choose?

I am a new member, I have looked over the classifieds and was wondering what kind of razor I should buy. I have seen some razors that you can change the blades on, and others that look to have a blade that you never change. I was wanting to sharpen my own blade to save $$. Are the razors that have 1 "permanent blade" good? Last a long time, or is it better to get one that has changeable blades?

    Thanks,

Many of us recommend a 5/8-6/8 razor, round or muted toe, honed by someone that is experienced. Straight razors shouldn't need to be honed but a few times a year...that's if you just have one or two & shave daily. I personally recommend a real straight. You should spend some time in the WIKI section and the absolute first purchase you make is Lynn Abrams cd. It has a whole lot of information that you should know BEFORE you jump in. The cd is listed here: World Of Straight Razor DVD - Straight Razor Place Classifieds

    Hope this helps,

Appreciate the helpful info. The web-site was useful. Also, I found the video's of Lynn Abrams ( Very Informative) thanks. I have decided to go with the permanent bladed razor. I'll see what I kind find.
