    Default A crapshoot winner!

Hello my fellow noobs(or noobettes)!I recently read that Arkies were a crapshoot when it came to honing a straight.Having tried with some degree of success honing with up to a fine Arkie(able to shave arm hair),I decided to go two steps further.I ordered two Arkies(one black surgical, the other translucent)from Halls Pro Edge.I then purchased two throwaway quality straights to practice on.The results were excellent! The local beauty&barber supply shop has begun to carry Solingens.Mos def looking forward to buying one now!

    Nice job!

The most important thing is that you are getting the results you are happy with and, as Sham says, having fun at the same time!

Be sure you look into the razors before you buy them. There are a lot of razors around that say "solingen" on them but are of suspect quality.

Exactly what I was thinking... even some of the pakistani razors have solingen written/etched/stamped all over them
