+1 on why not? I have only ever shaved in the mornings...All my shaving life in fact, no matter what the tool for the job was/is.

I have always shaved in the morning, but it is important to be awake

When I first tried a straight, a Dovo 4/8 I got from an uncel of my girlfriend, he is a barber, I got a horrible shave. I had seen and read a lot of videos/threads, but I got it wrong anyway. I went back to DE`s and let the Dovo sleep. But I would not give up, took another look at the videos, read more, and suddenly I got a better shave. Of course you need a shave ready razor, after stropping my Dovo, I can now cut hanging hairs if not popping them. What I learnt was to apply some from one experienced straight shaver and something else from another. Now I have found something that works for me, and the most important is no pressure, the correct angle, good prep, good brush, good lather, time and concentration, and not to expect BBS at once.

After trying for several months I got my first BBS with a Straight razor this morning, and it felt great, even if I cut myself a little ten seconds before the finish. I think I lost concentration because of the great result for a moment.

So, after catastrophy, I got BBS with a lot of reading/looking and practice. And when you get that BBS with a Straight the first time, well, I have been smiling to myself for hours now Looking forward to the next shave already, and will get more Straight razors in my bathroom for sure!
