Thread: Finished my First Complete Pass

I have been shaving with a straight about a month. I started doing a little more of my face every day. Today I did a complete pass with my straight.

I started 9 days ago with a str8 razor and am not quite doing 50% of my face. Each day I learn a little more. Taking it slow, but looking forward to a complete shave.

I started with a 5/8 Soligen razor that I obtained from BST forum. I switched over to a 6/8 Dovo Special Tortose. I switched along the line because I thought I ruined the edge on the Soligen razor by improper stropping. I was mistaken, it was technique.
I start by showering, washing my face with Nivea face wash, one more face wash with Musgo glycerin soap, I try not to rinse all the Musgo off. I use T&H Lavender cream or Proraso keeping it warm in my Moss Scuttle. So far I just do the one pass finishing up with my Feather SS.I rub my face with a Razor Rock, after shave and Nivea balm.
