    Default It's a Boy!

My wife and I just found out that our baby due in December is going to be a boy! So I am already planning on how to pass along my newfound hobby.

I still remember "shaving" with my dad when I was young using a fake plastic safety razor.

I'm thinking that I will find an e-bay deal on a straight, and grind off the edge so that my son can do the same, but with a little more style!

I'm sure some of you have experience in this arena and any other ideas would be great.

    Congrats!

I know there was a member here who bought a Zeepk razor with really colorful scales and dulled the edge right down so his son could "shave" with dad. IIRC he got the Zeepk strop as well, but I could be wrong!

Another member made some wooden razors a while back too.

Enjoy shaving with your son and congratulations on your news!

    Congrats!

I had a straight whose blade was too warped to be honed, so I ground the edge off and turned it into a toy for the boy....now we can shave together!

    CONGRATS on the son!!!

Btw you could always buy a shavette for 10$ and never put a blade.

I really think I would go with the "Just Like Dads" approach...He'll be more apt to follow...and Congats to You and the Misses...
