    Talking Funny thought

I am sure most of you have heard of the TV show called "Pawn Stars"..well..
I called em and asked them if they buy straight razors in near mint condition (just curious, since they say they buy anything to make a profit on)..their reply was "If your razor belonged to Abraham Lincoln and you have proof..send it in or come by and we'll talk..the guys point was unless someone very significant used it with proof then I guess the price would on a str8 razor would be based on how much YOU want it..anyways funny phonecall!...does anyone have a razor used by someone famous and you have proof?..ie..James wilks booth or Abe Lincoln :-)

Yeah. Patton's safety was on eBay.

From time to time someone posts George Washington's razor. I think it's in a museum somewhere, but it exists and is known to have been his.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Straight razors appeal to very few people , but thanks to the internet we've found each other , and have become a big fish in our small pond . But . on the "outside world" of concrete , brick , and mortar , we are few and far between . In other words , there aren't very many people walking into a pawn shop or other such place , looking for a straight razor , and there are even fewer looking for a straight razor to shave with . Before I discovered the internet , I thought I was the only person in the world that was interested in straight razors . Thus , is the reason a pawn shop would be interested in a straight razor , only if it had real provenance relating to someone famous . You can find such razors on ebay all the time . The only thing they lack is REAL provenance . Unless you consider "the person I got it from told me" , provenance .

The funny thing about that razor was that even though it was stamped "General Patton" everything in the kit was made before he was actually a general.
