Default Rinsing/Rewetting skin after each shaving pass

Heyy my routine is WTG, XTG, and then a light ATG pass. I have been so confused on the concept of rinsing or rewetting the face after each pass. Any advice from experienced shavers since I am very new to this. Thanks....

don't overthink this shaving thing bro.. as far as the rinse or not between passes.. it's optional.. do what works for you..

    Hi,

+1 on the previous advice; shaving is fun, and there are very few absolutes. I used to rinse, but now don't. Try both ways and see which you prefer

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Just relax, it's only shaving.

Personally, I like a hot water rinse between passes.

I don't rinse off any lather from the last pass, but I do rewet my face with water cupped in my hands before relathering. This helps replace any water lost off the brush or in the bowl due to evaporation while making the last pass. Additionally, sometimes during the dry winter, when I'm using a scuttle rather than just face lathering, I'll rewet the brush and stir up the lather in the scuttle. Hope this helps.

I think the only thing it matters with is the lather. I use a scuttle and that tends to dry the lather a bit. There is also the fact that sometimes my lather will be a little dryer than I would like in which case I rinse to add water.

    Later,
    Richard
