Thread: Stropping Paste??

A Scuttle... That is something else I wanted to ask about. From looking at it, I think I know how one uses it, but.... how exactly is the proper use of this??

SRD sells soap/creme compatible scuttles..hot water goes in the spout which whatever is in the middle warm..it's the hot water that keeps whatever is in the center bowl nice n warm and keeps soap or creme from drying out for sure!

Now that someone brought up a Scuttle... how does one use a Scuttle? It appears the soap goes on top, of course, but do you put hot water in the bottom bowl or do you let the lather seep through the holes into the bottom bowl and work your brush into the lather in the bowl???

I know a century ago the ol' man would have showed me, but I know nobody (except me) that shaves with a straight razor.
