    Default Shaving Supplies in Australia

    So my brand spanking new Dovo Special 6/8 and SRD Premium 1 strop have arrived and I thought I could wing it and just apply some thorough hot towelling and what I soon to be found god awful shaving foam. I was so god dammed wrong, the skin on my checks was left smooth to a down hand stroke only and irritation was abundant.

    So to cut to the chase I'm going to back well off, re-equip and take a much slower approach next time. But to do this I need to know where to buy from!

    Two stores that I have found;

    Men's Skin Care and Shaving Products - Men's Biz - Have a good range of products, but the good stuff is never in stock!

    Art of Man - Slightly better range and stock levels but they're closed for a week due to stocktake (Talk about worst timing).

    So please fellow Australian's (Especially Adelaideians :P) help me with my endeavours to find a good place within the country to shop from, whether it be online or good ol' bricks and mortar. Not to be selfish, let this thread also serve as a go to for any other aspiring Australian straight shavers looking for a bit more convenience and to save on shipping costs.

    PS - In particular I'm looking for somewhere that actually stocks tabac and can get a decent soft badger hair brush from.

    PPS - Could a fellow SA member better describe where Frank the Barber is on Ebeneezer Pl. having a hard time finding details.

    We have a few Australians here. They'll probably chip in soon enough.

    Mensbizz stocks Tabac, I saw them couple of times when browsing for soaps for brush, they have decent line up of vulvix, unless if you want something like simpson or thaeter, then ur best mate is overseas online store...I guess for soaps Mensbizz is all I can recommend if they have what you want, the price is reasonable and good CS.

    probably other fellow australian could quote you better options

    cheers

    Thanks mate, but when you go into the product page for any of the Tabac soaps they're listed as out of stock.

    that's too bad, have you contacted their CS? asking them when they'll restock

    I probably will, but it's not just the tabac. Any of their decent brushes in my price range are out, so are all their alum products as well. Pretty much anything useful to me >.<
