New to SRP
Hello,
Since I saw a straight razor by accident on Ebay and decided to learn more, I can't stop reading! I found this site, among others, and have been reading for a week, and have learned alot. There seems to be alot of great people on here, always willing to help and give advice, and thats great to see.
Anyway, after looking around Ebay (I know, I know), various online vendors, and the classifieds here for a good starter blade, my head was spinning! Ebay is sooo tempting, and good ones get scooped here pretty quick, so I jumped on one tonite that looks pretty good to me, how'd I do? Its a TI from Hi Bud Gl. Was $90..pretty good for a TI, I thought.
Now to get the rest and get setup!

Very nice razor. You already knew you needed to get it professionally honed, so as long as you go into an e-bay purchase armed with the appropriate knowledge, the rest is understanding how much you will spend.
$90 for the razor
$20 for honing
$7 for shipping from the seller
$7 for shipping from the honer
So you are going to have $124.00 into a TI that looks to be in excellant condition. IMHO that looks like a good decision.
Make sure you know what the penalties are for withdrawing money early from your 401K when all of your Aquisition Disorders kick in

Welcome to SRP. If it came from hi_bud I know it is shave ready. I love TI razors. Smooth shaving and read my sig below to avoid nicks and cuts.

Welcome to SRP. Nice razor and you'll be happy you went with a razor from the classifieds here as it is "shave ready." I have purchased a couple of razors from Sham (hi_bud_gl) and they are great. Hope you enjoy.

i believe this is the le dandy model, it's clearly been cleaned up and the etching is not there, but the blade number is for le dandy.
