Default Barber shop in Montreal ?

    Hi there,

I have never been to a barber shop, and I'd like to try it out. Does anyone know of a Barber shop that can do a full shave with a straight in the Montreal area ?

    Thanks,
    Glenn

I don't know about Montreal because, well, I live in Utah. But, I've looked all over here in Southern Utah and there are no barbers who do straight razor shaves anymore. I guess there is an unwritten rule now that says because of HIV etc... barbers shouldn't do straight razor shaves, but i've also talked to a few barbers who say it takes to long, not enough people want them, and for the money they aren't worth the time it takes to give one.

I know this doesn't help you specific problem and hope you can find a barber that does do SR shaves. I sure wish i could find one

Default the only one I found on line

I have been searching for a shop that does the full straight razor experience and all I have found is Gino and Dino Barber Shop in Ruby Foos Hotel on Decarie Boulevard.

You have to go around the Mile-End area to find them. I have been to Hollywood on Fairmount and St-Laurent, and the job is great. Full straight razor (not a shavette) shave with prep and vintage chair. 10$, I think. There are other salons on St-Viateur, Parc, and Bernard, but I haven't tried them.
