I just like to kid the wrong arms.

So I went back for a second shave yesterday morning. It was okay again. Not great. My face seemed to be more red but it might have been because I shaved two days in a row and I may have unknowingly applied to much pressure. When I am struggling is when first placing the razor to my face and just starting the pass. I seem to keep digging the dang thing into my skin. I have like six little lines on my face. Luckily none of them are bad. The other thing is just the hand positions still feel awkward. I am sure that will come with time. I am also having a difficult time with shaving under my nose and my chin. I ended up touching those up with the DE. I am pretty much going to try and not use the DE at all though and really get the straight edge thing down.
I took today off from shaving and I will give it a go tomorrow night. It's taking my too long right now to get that done in the am.

One thing to do, which may eliminate those little red lines, is to make sure the razor is moving when you start your stroke and still moving when you end the stroke and take the razor off your face. That is to say you shouldn't hold the razor motionless in contact with your skin either to consider where the stroke is going to go or, when done, to admire how well it went.

Oh, and those little red lines won't leave a scar and you can easily guess how I know that . It's the big red gushers that can make history (and if you are paying attention to what the razor is doing and where it's going) aren't going to happen to you.

Ouch... one hint is to use a sponge to wipe the lather
from the blade.. i.e. some sinks have little clearance
to safely rinse a razor while shaving. A clean wet sponge
can be used to clean the razor of lather while shaving.

It also saves water....
