    Default I got impatient!

So I got my Razor and strop from hi_bud_gl and as promised the razor was sharp and ready. But I have not yet aquired my soap and brush that I intend to get. Sooo I improvised.
I cut off a chunk of bar saop and used my kids hair brush and a bowl from my kitchen... the most rediculas shave set ever!! but it worked no nicks even!

+1 on the Van Der Hagen soap and brush....heck, I like the brush so much I'm holding off on getting one of those bookoo bucks badger brushes.

I feel the impatience thing. The first couple shave involved rubbing the shave soap over my face and massaging it a bit with my hand until the lather was as best as it would get...lol.

Just goes to show you dont need scads of expensive brushes and soaps to get the job done! Though it is good fun to try them out..! I guess it just depends on how much you want to spend..!

    Great improvisation there, good stuff!

+2, most of us started with one of these cheaper brushes like that. I passed mine on to my wife, then later bought her a badger hair brush...she likes the boars hair better for her legs the the badger for the nether regions.

I can only imagine why that would be.
