You will get a heads-up start for your new found interst. Yes a stropp is a must, as well as a shave ready razor. You have many options for razors, price $ being a huge factor. If you want to go vintage the classified section is a great place to start. Most will be shave ready. If inexpensive new is for you, go to www.rupprazors.com. Razors are shave ready and come witha second honing for free. Stropps are $21 for the philly. Razors are called Double Arrow and are shave ready and start at $ 45. If you want something with a little more bling go to Lynn and Dons, www. StraightRazorDesighns.com they are on the side advertisment banners here on this site. They come shave ready and offer a second honing for free as well. They are great guys. They have nice starter sets that include as stropp. Well, the choice is yours. Read a lot and ask questions. Most of all good luck and have fun at this awesome art.

thanks for the tips,it's kinda hard for me with ordering coz i'm from europe , austria and no credit card and i don't know if it can be done any easy way i'm gonna ask at SRD for sure as soon as i'm closer to making up my mind about what i need and,or want $ being an absolute factor :P

    where u from`?

    cheers.

    welcome and hello,
there are quite a few members in Europe on here and some should be able to help you out.
like the others have said, read the wiki here. take it slow, there is a learning curve and your skills will get better with time...look in the classifieds here and make sure that the straight you get is "shave ready" this is utmost when starting out. most of all do not be afraid to ask questions as everyone here will help you along the way...good luck and enjoy the experience..
