Thumbs up careful in here....newbie shaving

okay - so I've had my SR for about 10 or 11 days and it has been used daily. My styptic pencil has had about 1/3 of it used so far - and the oil of olay seems to work fine for me after my shave as my post shave conditioner - I'm happy to say that tonite was probably my best shave yet. Its not as smooth as the barber shop job but he is a good bit more experienced with it all than I am. I will say this that I have had zero ingrown hairs since I began this journey and that is one of the things I am most happy about. Its sure is alot of fun and a great way to unwind and relax while going about it. It is hands over fists better than anything with the old disposables (just the thought of them now makes me want to start a ) So cheers to the good life fellas.

Glad to hear things are getting better already!

It really is amazing. Crazy razor companies and their darned multi-blade propaganda!

On a side note, I recently told my grandfather I was shaving with a straight razor and he told me that his dad had cheered once DEs were available and he could get rid of his straights.

vintage razor I know....I remember in my pre-teen years at my grandmothers house the medicine cabinet had my grandaddys double edge in it. At the time I had no idea what it was. If I only had it now....may he rest in peace
