How long does a straight razor shave take you?

Stropping, prep, three passes - maybe 35-40 minutes (if I'm not rushing). I've started to strop earlier in the day so it's ready to go and cuts down a few minutes when it's time to shave. You can do a fast one-pass in minutes.

+1 however if I have the time, and feel like spoiling myself, It can take 3 times as long with pre shave creams, three passess, alum, after shave lotion and after shave, but a typical morning shave takes me less time then it did with a mach 3.

with face prep.and a 2 pass shave 5 minutes at the longest. but i have been doing this every day for 3 years , but i still like to take my time it is so much fun, and i like the smell of the soap and the pre shave oil it has the same eo"s in them.

Goes with the territory. Once your muscles have memorised all the necessary motions, it's really quite simple. Either that, or you'll at least be very fast at turning your face into mince. Originally Posted by ethermantis

I'm in the 15 to 20 minute camp now with my usual two passes but when I started it took so long that the lather would dry on one side of my face before I got to the other.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Generally speaking, it takes me 45 minutes to an hour from shower to stropping, lathering, shaving, cleanup etc. If I take my time 1-1.5hr.
