I've been SR shaving for about 5 months now (I think) and maybe this will help some people.

I finished (UK) college at the start of the summer, and until a few weeks a go I had all the time in the world to shave. I got a job to add some funds towards my gap year travels, and that changed things.

Even in college, it didn't matter if I wasn't clean shaven, and over the summer I shaved every 4 or 5 days. When I started working, I was rushing shaves in the morning or perhaps before I went out in the evening.

the results were pretty consistantly 4 or 5 nicks on the chin and alum burn that raged. They were terrible shaves, but they were poor.

Tonight, I pulled out a razor I gained a lot of respect for traveling round Europe, my 4/8 Dovo best, had a hot shower and a 20 minute shave.

Light and short strokes, plenty of stretching and time. A little bit of practice. That is all you need to get the best shaves of your life.

Enjoy.
