Thread: First Barbershop shave a bad experience

Has anyone else noticed that 98% of all stories about getting a shave at a barbershop these days are about how awful they are?

The better of the two barber straight shaves I've had started with lather before the first hot towel was applied. The lady barber then re-lathered before proceeding after making the other preparations.
