    Default G'day all

Aussie living in Portsmouth UK checking in and saying Hi.

I'm three shaves into this whole straight razor thing, using the Ruprazor startup set (Filly and Double Arrow). The ADs have set in already, and I'm looking forward to getting better at this!

First shave was a bloodbath, second and third are getting better. Still nowhere near as good a shave as with a DE yet, but I'm sure that persistence and sheer bloody-mindedness to get this right will see me through.
No questions at this stage, I think it's all about studying the videos and taking it slowly to get my technique right. I'm sure I'll have many!

    Cheers

    Andrew

Welcome and good luck. When you're ready to ask questions, don't hesitate, great and generous (and knowledgeable) bunch round here.

Welcome to SRP. Sounds like you had a rough first shave. If you haven't read through the Beginners Guide, take a look at it.

Use a light hand and watch your angles. Hope those next shaves go well for you.

Welcome to SRP! At least living on our sceptred isle means you get to satisfy your AD with some of the best soaps and creams at reasonable prices.
