    Default hair conditioner ?

I just tried this to help with preshave treatment.
As I shower in the morning I put some hair conditioner on my beard to bring mostire to the hair for a closer shave. Has anyone else tried it? I got the closed shave ever I think.

I also do this, as I think many others do. I find that it is a great help when it comes to softening the hair prior to the shave. Any cheap conditioner will do.

I let the conditioner set in my beard while I spend two minutes creating my lather, then rinse out the conditioner. Started doing it this past monday, the begining of my third week straight shaving. It was my best shave yet, no cuts very little burn, not sure if it was because I improved on shaving skills or it was the conditioner. So I looked it up in here and found out that others do the samething, now I use conditioner every time I shave.

I live in a tropical country so hot showers aren't really the norm out here. Instead of hot water I apply some conditioner on the area I plan to shave at the beginning of my shower and just rise my face just before I apply the soap.

My shave has improved since I started doing this routine so this method works for me!

I think it's fairly common now. It really does the trick at softening the stubble, doesn't it? I use it & really recommend it.

I even do this when I don't shower before a shave. Wet the face, grab some conditioner, and rub it in over the sink. Leave it there whilst stropping, building lather, etc. then splash it off before lathering up. Works a treat.

Try leaving the conditioner on your face before lathering (just like using a pre-shave product). It's very slick and will improve the cutting efficiency of your edge.

I've been meaning to try this but haven't yet. I think it's time to start.
