Sure. You can put it on strops or hones or glass plates... any carrier basically.
Even a toothpick to clean out pits with.
Looks like a good offer even.

I don't know squat about the particular item but just consider when you buy diamond paste you are paying for the sorting of the diamond xtls. Often times the diamond paste is poorly sorted and the grit size may mean nothing.

You could e-mail the seller about the paste.

First question would be is that average grit size or maximum grit size.

second would be what does medium concentraion mean.

    Default Sellers reply.....

    Dear ktestorf,

Will this product work on leather for stropping straight razors? I am interested in the 9.0, 1.0,.5,.25 grades
    Thanks,
    William

It sounds like it will work, but I have never tried it. My first thought is I would try #9, #6, #4, #2, #1. I am not sure how well the smaller than 1 micron will work.

    What did you ask him?

That sounds like a progression for using sharpening slurry all the way from dull to serviceable.

For 20 USD you can have 12 syringes here: 12 different particle size diamond pastes! - Straight Razor Place Forums

ChrisL recently ordered them, so he may be able to tell you more.

Here is the reply from the seller to both questions as follows:

    That is average grit size.

We have a high low and medium concentration. Most of our customers use the medium concentration.

    Hi,

I bought that paste a week or so ago and have been playing with it for the last few days.

I don't have any reference to go to for sizes smaller than 1 micron, but I do have diamond lapping film and the edge quality seems similar. I can check the finish under a 400x optical microscope for you guys though.

When I went down to 0.1 micron on my razor (and knife ) the edge was very sharp and very polished looking. I could take a (50um dia) hair from my head and cut it into 0.5mm long pieces.

For the $25 bucks spent, I'm happy with what I got.
