Default Fourth straight shave. First one with amazing results!

I haven't been on for a while because my computer sh*t the bed. So here I am, and I have to say that this morning I had the greatest shave to date. I was luscious. No nicks, no razor burns, no bumps. Only deliciousness. I've been trying to think of anything I may have done different. Maybe it was the week and a half I didn't shave and I think my stropping technique has gotten better so maybe that's part of it. Who knows? I'm happy though.

The razor was my DOVO 5/8" ebony spike point, with a lather of TOBS Rose that was whipped up by my Vulfix 406 Best Badger. I've been getting used to some Ogallala Bay Rum cologne I picked up recently; today was the first day I used the aftershave and the cologne together. Maybe that had something to do with it......

All in all, I'm delighted at the shave I got today. Can't wait to shave again and see how it turns out.

Nice news! Are your shaves getting closer?

That's good news. It's almost an Ah ha moment.Your shaves will get better along with your stropping and other things the more you shave. Enjoy the time and be patient they do continue to get better.

The bigger question after a shave like that - how many times did you touch your face that day ?

I can't say the shaves are getting closer, because I would always keep going till I got it all. Unfortunately that method leads to some really bad razor burn.

Not only was I touching my face repeatedly but SWMBO couldn't stop either. Though I think she was happy because I was finally clean shaven after taking so much time off, not because of the awesome experience I had that morning.
