    Default Smiling Blade

I have a Toledo Blade from Geneva and it smiles. I was wondering if you need to strop it differently than normal? What about honing?

Others more experienced will chime in here, but I just wanted to point out a couple good wikis on this.

As Keith has indicated an 'X' motion both while honing and stropping will serve you well enough on virtually all smiling blades. On the stone you should roll the razor slightly to contact the entire edge with the stone, but a hanging strop will gently do the rolling for you. Be sure to take your time and be as sensitive as you can be to the sensations of the blade on the strop and hone and how they shift throughout the stropping or honing motion. Try and keep it smooth and even as always.
