I thought about valueless gift after I posted. That would most likely draw the least attention. Either of those would work as well as the other when it comes right down to it. Good idea:-)

Gifts, up to the value of US$ 50,00 do not pay import taxes in Brazil. But, to be considered a gift it has to be posted by a person (not a company) and should come with a card (like a "happy birthday" or "congratulations" card) with the merchandise.

They'd both work. The benefit of the second, if it'd avoid duty, is that it could still be covered if it went astray. Maybe some research at the other end would clarify whether a repaired item is subject to import duty?

Edit. There you go then. It can still be insured & you get a "Congratulations on beating the System Card!" Do hallmark make them?

How about if somebody "returned" a razor they borrowed from you that you "previously owned". I am sure somebody here would happily act as an intermediary me included.

    Default Chip In

    Hi All,

So far I am putting up the razor and a bit of soap and another member is sending some soaps. Can anybody come up with a barber hone and maybe a strop they can do without?
I want to help this member get started so if anyone can help out with any donated items please contact me at
    philwhite777@gmail.com

If you have something just email me and I can give you my mailing address so I can pack whatever is given in one box. I'm going to give it until next weekend before I mail the package to Jose.

    Thanks!
    Phil
