I think a cream would be much easier for me. And i saw a cheap badger hair brush on amazon. If everything goes as planned i will probably upgrade pretty soon.

Hey, I made the same mistake the first time buying the WalMart brush/soap, but we all have made mistakes and we all will make mistakes. One way to hold the strop without a handle is grasp the strop with your left hand, palm up and the strop between the index and middle finger. Then roll your hand towards you, holding it firmly. This will tighten the strop and give you a nice solid grip. Just practice and take your time, You'll love it! You'll never get a better shave than with a straight razor and you will not meet a better bunch of guys than the ones here at SRP! Relax and enjoy! BUT, beware of RAD! God Bless!

Try a Best Pure Badger Brush and some reputable cake soap or cream. You will notice the difference.

Thanks, i think i will invest in a good brush after i buy some decent soap. The creams seem like the way to go, i dont really enjoy the hardsoap. Any suggestions on where to buy the good creams?
