I store them in their boxes or pouches in the bottom drawer of my desk, with my cigars and pipes, lying flat. If I've used them I leave them, open, on top of my dresser to remove every last trace of moisture before I put them away.

    Thumbs up

I got one of these wooden test tube racks. Get the 26 mm version.

It's unfinished, so you might want to stain/seal it. Works great to hold 12 straights.

That is pretty sweet. Appeals to Mr. Wizard fan in me.

I keep mine in the box, in a zippered suede makeup bag my girlfriend doesn't use. It'll probably hold 8 in the box.

I'm going to look for a used pipe rack at the antique store.

    Smile leather pouches

[QUOTE=cromagnum;401661] So my question is, how do most people store their razor that they plan on using?

I made lined leather pouches with a flap for each razor, so if I drop it, no damage would happen. I also made a seven days rolled leather pouch for weekly rotation. The leather pouches are also good when traveling and you need to take a couple or three razors they will be protected in the suitcase. I dropped a couple of razors while in the pouches and no damage happened to the razors! Juan.

I've imagined just what you describe a few times, but lack the textile dexterity or resources to make one. Have a pic?

shavingshop.com look in the index in the custom razor pouches John got pictures, also look on straight razors listed by size under 8/8 page 3 bottom of page is a picture of the flap pouch. I made all of them for John. Or look under search "leather". Juan.
