    Default Starter Razor?

Hi, first post here with a quick (hopefully) easy question.

Is this Dovo with replacable blades a good razor for learning how to shave with a SR?

Welcome to SRP why don't you just buy a real straight from the classifieds? There are several good razors in the classifieds.
I have never used one with replacement blades so I cant speak for the quality.

If you want one with replaceable blades go Feather. If you want to get a traditional str8 go forth into the classifieds.

    Welcome.

If you want to learn how to shave with a Straight Razor get a real Straight Razor. A good place to look is the Classifieds.

I started with that same shavette. Used it perhaps 4x. Big difference and much more unforgiving compared to a str8. There are those who like them tho and the hand motion is about the same. You can always pick one up then when you decide to go to the str8 you can pass it on to another newbie. Just one word of caution. Don't judge str8s and str8 shave by the shavette.
