    Default Hello everyone

Well after a good bit of lurking I made my purchases lastnight....
Dovo Best Quality White 5/8" Straight Razor & Strop Set from SRD and
a brush, bowl and Cavendish and Leatherneck ( I figured being one I should try this one out) from TGQ.

So for now I wait and then begin the journey....

Thanks for all of the great info here!

    Mike

What have you been shaving with prior to coming to straight shaving? Personally I have done the job with eveyrthing under the sun including: rotary electric shavers, foil electrics, cartridge, disposbles, double edge and finally straight razors. I find that only double edges and straights can keep me clean shaven and only straights can keep my sideburns at bay as well as getting at the hair under the nose.

cartridge and electric. I have found that even with taking the weekends off from shaving with the cartridge, come Thursday I'm breaking out. Many different creams, gels and blades and still nothing seems to get the results I want.

Not that I am attempting to disuade you from your chosen path, why shave with a striaght? Why not a safety? Straights have a bit of a learning curve to them.
