Default So many new peeps here these days!

I just want to say welcome and I cannot believe how many new names I am seeing here lately. When I first joined in January, I was used to seeing the same members in almost every post. I realized in the last few months how much we have grown and how many newbies to the SR world are coming out of the woodwork! It is awesome! Welcome all to SRP! Happy shaves...

Yea, its like a weed in your backyard once it appears it doesn't need water or fertilizer it just keeps growing and growing.

Hopefully we're like one of those beneficial cash crop weeds if you know what I mean.

Not sure I do, could you please elaborate.

I just ordered a starter straight razor today (NOS Wapienica with a plastic scale). I am looking forward to experiencing the world of straight razors and hope I like it. This site is an incredibly helpful resource. Keep up the good work. If I stick with the straight razor experience, I will try to contribute my two bits in the future.

Hi, jeremy, my name is Jeremy. I think this is a good thing all of the new names we are seeing here. Excellent idea to use a photo of a man shaving with a straight as you avitar it may help newbies, such as myself, to hold the razor right while we are learning. Is that you in the avitar? I don't hold mine at a 90 degree angle like you do, sort of a 75 degrees.

Yes, the person in the avatar is me. It's a funny picture rather than a proper, instructional photo. I usually have my razor/scales open larger than 90 degrees while shaving, most likely around 110- 120 degree angle, scales from the blade.
