    Default First Razor!

Well, I was able to snag one of the NOS Wapis from in the classifieds! It's beautiful...I am seriously resisting the urge to try it out on a tiny part of my face. Yet I will wait until I can get it honed. Anyone in the Portland area willing to help a guy out? I would really like to watch my new baby being honed, but if I have to send it out, I will.

    right on!
yeah, I bought and used my first razor back in march and now i have it on ebay for sale. It has a 7/8's inch blade! I feel like that is pretty big for a newbie. Now I found that I like 5/8" blade the most.

    I wonder what size razor's other's enjoy ?

i enjoy anything between just under 0.5" to just over 1", but I prefer them
    11/16" to 6/8".

what makes the difference anyways, I just know that 7/8" was to big and awkward and i like 5/8's " now?

I'd love to help you out, since I live near Salem, but seeing as I don't own anything but a barber hone, and the total of all my honing experience amounts to touching up one razor on said barber hone, I'm afraid I can't be of much help.

I know there's a lot of guys in the NW who might be close enough to help. Hopefully one of them can.
