I've never heard of it however in general you get what you pay for. Of course it could be the biggest steal in the world but I would rather let someone else test drive it and report their results.

With cheap wide strops you really have to worry about cupping.

Touche .... Most of this selling pitch leans more toward useing this as
a pasted strop . Not your every day strop . Its probabley not even real horse hide.
If you want a good cheap beginners strop buy a Illinois Strop
like a #206 . Can get for around 30 dollers

Check with SRD, Tony Miller, and others in our Vendor's Corner forum below. You can get a good starter strop for the same amount of money and know you are getting quality. Your strop and razor are two things where quality really matters.

I've ordered this one the other day. Don't know how good it is but it seems ok for a beginner stropper like me

I\'ve got one. The linen side is stiff and I don\'t use it, but the horsehide is quite good; nicely finished with a good draw. The hardware is clearly bargain grade. Overall, a good buy if you want a horsehide strop of respectable quality.

I also have the filly. Works just fine. I may upgrade down the road, but for my purposes right now, it's great. I don't think the "linen" side is actually linen... it's just the "unfinished" side of the leather. Mine came with a strip of green strop paste (I forget what grade Ken said it was), so I use it for just a few laps when my razors seem to pull a little bit more on my beard. 15-20 laps on the pasted side, then about 60 on the finished side, and I can get a great shave.
