Default The amazing quality of a freshly honed blade

I just got my razor back from nun2sharp after having it honed for the first time since I got it (then honed by Lynn). Then, I didn't have the technique to notice the difference. IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!!!
A freshly honed blade will glide, nicely shearing the hairs smoothly, without even the hint of a tug. No cuts, no snags, not even the tiniest shade or red in my skin afterward! Beautiful! Just before I got the blade honed, it was pulling, snagging, and the final straw was when it pulled and opened up a nice gash along my jawline. For any one who ever doubted the benefit of true shave-readiness, take my advice, get it honed. Your face will thank you.

Maybe Nun2sharp will have to change his screen name.

    Exactly!!!

Unfortunately, there is a double whammy for new shavers. You don't know what you are doing and you can't judge what a shave ready razor is. A perfectly honed razor still has the potential to be a weapon of massive facial destruction in the hands of a newbie, yet not everyone who declares a razor to be shave ready has a clue what they are talking about. Thus, when your face is reduced to a bloody pulp, you don't know if it's you or the razor. If Lynn or a few other trusted honers told you it was shave ready, it's you. If someone else called it shave ready,

Utopian; I would included YOU in the above statement.
