Default how do you remove stains?

just bought a new dovo special tortise and already has some staining? I clean it diligently after shaving and strop and oil it after use! but still stained? what is the best method to remove this and how to prevent it?
    Thanks!

Was it stained out of the box? I would be calling the vendor up if so.

Water staining seems to be a recurring theme with new Dovo razors.

Some say use an eraser, try it but I never had any success. A rolled up ball of aluminium foil has worked wonders for me (thanks Olivia), or metal polish (Maas, Sidol).

Just make sure to keep clear of the edge. Anything abrasive enough to remove tarnish will dull the edge if applied carelessly.

If you have any honing paste left try some 0.5 diamond paste on a q-tip or a rag, very small amount. It worked wonders for my very shiny razor and did not leave scratches.

Be careful of the goldwash. Maas, etc. will take the goldwash right off.
